Basilika of St. Marien in Kevelaer

Kevelaer, Germany

The Basilica of St. Mary in Kevelaert, on the border between Germany and the Netherlands, sees every year 1 million pilgrims coming to the blessed site to find spiritual healing and comfort in times of distress. The visitor to the picture of Holy Mary, Full of Grace, sees a tiny, unpretentious, mortal image of the Heavenly Queen holding her blessed Son. The picture says to everyone who looks more deeply “God at all times allows his heavenly presence to shine through all things, however small”. The pilgrimage to Kevelaer prepares each faithful to experience the nearness of God in their daily lives, through the intercession of the Virgin and the Infant Jesus.

The Basilica offers an online broadcast of scheduled celebrations under the following link.
